Nigeria’s Minister of Power, Chief Bayo Adelabu, has declared his readiness to make personal sacrifices to strengthen the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State as preparations begin for the 2027 general elections.

Speaking after a strategic meeting with APC state executives and chairmen of the 33 local government chapters, held at his private residence in the Government Reserved Area (GRA), Ibadan, Adelabu explained the importance of party cohesion and collective commitment.

“The party’s victory in 2027 is the priority,” he said. “Reconciliation is about mutual sacrifice, everyone must be willing to let go of something for the sake of unity. There can be no meaningful reconciliation without compromise, and no progress without partnership.”

Adelabu, a former governorship candidate of the APC in Oyo, noted that internal differences must be set aside to build a formidable front capable of reclaiming the state from the opposition. He emphasized that the party’s interest must take precedence over individual ambitions.

“Political office is secondary. What truly matters is building a party structure that reflects our collective strength and shared vision,” he added.
