Tunisia’s President Kais Saied has sacked finance minister Sihem Boughdiri Nemsia and appointed a Magistrate to the role.
The president announced over the night on Facebook that Michket Slama Khaldi will take on the country’s finance portfolio.
The presidency however, gave no further details, nor did it mention the outgoing minister, Nemsia.
The newly appointed Finance Minister, Khaldi, who has taken the oath of office, is said to have headed a national commission tasked with recovering embezzled public funds.
