A former Northern Elders Forum spokesperson, Dr. Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, has declared that the North will play a decisive role in determining the outcome of the presidential race.
In a viral interview alongside Prof. Usman Yusuf, a former Executive Secretary of the National Health Insurance Scheme, Baba-Ahmed said the North’s political direction would become evident within the next six months, setting the tone for the rest of the country.
Baba-Ahmed, who recently stepped down from his role as Special Adviser on Political Matters to President Bola Tinubu, maintainer that the region’s eelectoral stakes high.
“No politician can become President of Nigeria without the support of the North,” he stated pointedly. “The region will decide its path, and others can either follow or go their own way.”
