Nigerian music superstar Davido has officially pulled out of 50 Cent’s highly anticipated July 3 concert at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, where he was scheduled to perform alongside hip-hop icon 50 Cent and R&B legend Mary J. Blige.
The Afrobeats singer announced his withdrawal via Instagram Stories, clarifying that the decision was not related to poor ticket sales or lack of fan support, but rather a matter of “principle and respect” for his craft and audience.
“This decision is not a reflection of turnout or support; it is a matter of principle and respect for my craft, my fans, and the culture I represent,” Davido stated.
According to the singer, he had been fully committed to the event and had collaborated closely with The Necto Future Group, the promoters behind the IconicPresents concert series.
However, he cited persistent challenges with the event’s organization as the primary reason for stepping away.
