Nigeria’s super eagles have been placed in pot 1 for the draw of the 2025 Africa cup of nations.
The Super Eagles earned a spot among the top ranked teams for the draw as a result of their position at the last edition of the AFCON and position in the monthly FIFA ranking.
Also in pot 1 are, morocco, Senegal, Egypt, Algeria and defending champions Cote d’ivoire.
The draw ceremony for the 35th edition of the AFCON will take place at the Mohamed v national theatre in Rabat, morocco next week Monday evening.
Recall that Nigeria finished second at AFCON 2023 and currently occupies sixth position in the latest FIFA ranking.
Super Eagles head coach, Éric Chelle will attend the draw alongside top officials of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF.
Morocco is set to host the AFCON 2025 finals later this year from December 21, 2025 to January 18, 2026.
