Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, has called on Christians across the country to use the Easter season as a time of fervent prayers for Nigeria and its leaders, urging reflection on the significance of Christ’s death and resurrection.

In a message delivered on Saturday, the governor congratulated the Christian faithful on the celebration of Easter and encouraged them to embrace the core values of the season, love, sacrifice, forgiveness, and hope.

“I felicitate the Christian faithful across Oyo State and the country on witnessing the Easter festivities. In Christ’s death and resurrection, we find profound lessons of love, sacrifice, and hope for humanity. We are also reminded of the power of prayer and the importance of forgiveness,” Makinde said.

He also expressed optimism that through unity and collective intercession, Nigeria can overcome its challenges and experience renewed peace and progress.
