The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has summoned Raheem and Wahab Okoya, sons of billionaire industrialist Chief Razaq Okoya, for questioning regarding alleged abuse of the naira.

The summons follows public outcry over a viral video featuring the brothers flaunting and spraying bundles of N1,000 notes. The video, a promotional clip for Raheem’s new song titled Credit Alert, shows the duo in white agbadas dancing as a mobile policeman holds stacks of crisp naira notes, which they toss into the air.

The EFCC has confirmed that Raheem and Wahab are expected to report to the commission’s Lagos office on Monday for questioning.

This incident has reignited discussions on the misuse of the naira and the need for strict enforcement of laws against currency abuse.
