The chairman of Ekiti State Hockey Association, Hon Tayo Olajubu has approved a 7 day camping for the state team ahead of the National Sports Festival in Ogun State.
About 26 Players and 5 Officials of the team are expected to be at the camp at Olukismet Stadium Ikere Ekiti on Wednesday 19, 2025 as part of preparations for the Gateway games.
In a statement released by the Media Officer of the association, Dayo Olujobi, Hon. Olajubu stressed the importance of proper training for the state athletes, this is as he assured that no stone would be left unturned to ensure Team Ekiti does well in Hockey at the games.
The chairman also said the association was working round the clock to surpass the state’s best outing which was achieved recently in the National Sports Festival.
The camp which will begin in February 19, 2025 aims to ensure great performance from Ekiti State Hockey Teams on the national stage.
