Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has signed a 10-year contract extension with The Citizens.

The decade long contract will tie him to the club until the summer of 2034. The announcement, made on Friday, cements the 24-year-old Norwegian’s role as a cornerstone of City’s long-term ambitions.

Haaland, who joined City from Borussia Dortmund in 2022, has been instrumental in the club’s recent triumphs, including their historic treble-winning campaign. His new deal, which replaces his initial contract set to expire in 2027, shows the club’s belief in his immense value.

Reflecting on the extension, Haaland expressed his joy at continuing his journey at the Etihad. “I am really happy to have signed my new contract and to be able to look forward to spending even more time at this great club,” he said.

He praised the club’s environment, noting, “Manchester City is a special club, full of fantastic people with amazing supporters, and it’s the type of environment that helps bring the best out of everybody.”
