Popular Nigerian rapper and activist, Folarin Falana, known by his stage name Falz, is facing intense criticism over a controversial statement he made on social media regarding fornication.

In a brief post shared on Sunday via X Falz wrote: “Fornication is not a sin.” The remark quickly went viral, drawing strong reactions—particularly from religious communities who deemed the comment misleading and unbiblical.

Several users, quoting scripture, accused the rapper of promoting moral decay. One user, Olivia (@#Blessing\_), described Falz as one of the “end-time celebrities” misguiding the public. She cited multiple Bible verses, including 1 Corinthians 6:18 and Galatians 5, asserting that fornication is clearly condemned in Christian teachings.

While Falz’s comment drew heavy condemnation, some defended his right to express personal beliefs, igniting a wider debate on morality, free speech, and celebrity influence in shaping social values.
