The Chairman of the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission, Barrister Muhuyi Magaji, was arrested on Friday by a team of police detectives from the office of the Inspector General of Police.

Sources within the commission revealed that the detectives stormed the agency and apprehended Magaji in his office. The officers reportedly declined to disclose the reasons for the arrest or the specific instructions behind their mission.

While no official statement has been released, it is speculated that the arrest is connected to an ongoing investigation into the alleged diversion of N4 billion and properties belonging to the Kano Agricultural Supply Company Limited (KASCO) under the previous administration.

Recall that two weeks ago, the Anti-Corruption Commission revealed an attempt to seize assets worth over N2 billion, including trailers, trucks, minivans, and other items allegedly traced to the former Managing Director of KASCO.
