Activist and lawyer Dele Farotimi revealed on Sunday that he is still facing four separate lawsuits across different states, all filed by members of the Aare Afe Babalola law office. He made this known while speaking during the Toyin Falola Interviews.

This comes weeks after Afe Babalola, founder of Afe Babalola University, announced that he would withdraw his cases against Farotimi. The legal dispute began after Babalola accused him of defamation in his book Nigeria and its Criminal Justice System.

Following the petition, Farotimi was arrested and prosecuted in Ekiti State. He stood trial for alleged criminal defamation before an Ekiti State Magistrate Court and faced another case of cyberbullying before the Federal High Court in Ado Ekiti.

Babalola later announced he was dropping the case, citing interventions from the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, and other prominent traditional rulers. The move was seen as a resolution to the high-profile legal battle.

Despite this, Farotimi now says his legal troubles are far from over, as four other lawsuits filed by members of Babalola’s law office remain active.
