Former presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has expressed distress over the frequent occurrence of crimes, especially kidnapping in the country today.
He disclosed this in a post on his X handle on Thursday, emphasizing that this heat of insecurity has virtually affected every aspect of the country where critical workers are often kidnapped or killed.
According to the former Anambra State governor, at the moment, no one is spared from the dangerous wind of many kidnappings and killings blowing through various parts of the nation today.
While noting that nothing justifies these kidnaps, killings, as well as the daily sufferings faced by Nigerians, Obi added that this worrisome situation demands urgent attention from all the leaders in the country.
The Labour Party chieftain therefore appealed to the government to employ every security arsenal at its disposal to end this menace and ensure the safe rescue of those in captivity.
