Oyo State Governor, ‘Seyi Makinde, on Monday, led former governor and Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, Senator Rashidi Ladoja, on an inspection tour of the Ibadan Circular Road Project, which has been named in Ladoja’s honor.
The duo assessed the 32.2-kilometer East Wing of the project, which is nearing completion. This section of the road will link the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway to Badeku Village on the Ibadan-Ile Ife Road, improving connectivity and traffic flow in the region.
Ladoja originally conceived the 110-kilometer Ibadan Circular Road Project during his tenure as governor between 2003 and 2007. His return to the site marks a significant milestone as the long-envisioned infrastructure nears realization.
Makinde’s Special Adviser on Media, Dr. Sulaimon Olanrewaju, confirmed the development in a statement issued on Monday, highlighting the project’s progress and the government’s commitment to improving transportation in Oyo State.
