Green Lock FC’s head coach, Bolarinwa Idris, has declared his team’s readiness to dominate the football scene in Ogun State following the club’s recent relocation to Sagamu.

Speaking after the team’s final training session of the week, Idris expressed confidence in his squad’s ability to make an immediate impact in the upcoming Nationwide League One (NLO) season.

The relocation, he said, is a strategic move to strengthen the club’s position as a rising force in Nigerian football.

“This is a visionary step by the management, and I’m fully aligned with it,” Idris stated. “Ogun State is a hotbed of football talent, and we’re here to conquer it. My boys have already shown they can adapt to any challenge, and we are ready to prove ourselves.”

The club’s move to Sagamu comes on the heels of their historic Evolution Cup triumph in Abuja. For Idris, the relocation is not just about changing location but about embracing a new chapter of growth and dominance.

Idris also stressed the importance of settling down quickly in their new environment. He revealed that the club’s management has assured the team of necessary support, including upgraded player accommodations and modern training facilities to ensure a smooth transition.

“We understand the importance of adjusting quickly,” Idris said. “The management is committed to providing everything we need. We will also play a series of preparatory matches to fine-tune our strategies and strengthen team cohesion.”

He further stressed that Green Lock FC’s goal is not merely to participate but to establish dominance in the region’s football landscape.

“I’ve told my boys: pressure is a privilege,” he remarked. “We are not here to make up the numbers—we are here to dominate. Ogun State, get ready. The Green Lock revolution has begun. We will play the same attacking football and intelligent positional play that won us the Evolution Cup. We’re coming with hunger, preparation, and fearlessness.”

The coach also praised the club’s management for their long-term vision, highlighting their commitment to transforming the club into a football institution that will produce top-tier talent for both local and international levels.

“We’re not just building a team; we’re building an institution,” Idris said. “The NLO is our immediate focus, but we aim to produce players who can represent Nigeria and excel on the global stage.

Our players deserve the best, and the management is working towards providing European-standard facilities.”

As part of its long-term development plan, Green Lock FC is set to launch a new football academy in the summer. Modeled after Gulf United FC in the UAE, the academy will combine elite football training with academic education, providing young players with a comprehensive pathway to professional success.
