Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola and his wife, Cristina Serra, are reportedly making efforts to reconcile their marriage after spending three days together in Barcelona over the Easter holiday.
According to Catalan outlet El Nacional, the couple who have been together since 1994 and married in 2014 are said to be “prepared to give each other another chance,” with sources close to them suggesting that “all is not lost in their marriage.”
Guardiola, who travelled to Barcelona during Easter and stayed at the family’s mansion, appears to be taking personal time to mend the relationship. The brief reunion has sparked hope for a rekindling of their decades-long bond.
Previous reports suggested that Guardiola’s decision last year to extend his contract with Manchester City until 2025 may have contributed to tensions in the relationship, possibly due to the increasing demands of his managerial role.
