Tensions between Israel and Iran continue to spiral as both countries launch retaliatory strikes in one of the most dangerous escalations in the region in years.
On Sunday, Israeli airstrikes reportedly killed the head of Iran’s armed forces intelligence unit, a high-profile target in the ongoing military exchanges. At the same time, more than 10 Israelis were injured in renewed Iranian missile attacks.
The latest violence follows Israel’s surprise strikes on Friday, which targeted Iranian nuclear sites, military installations, and civilian areas. Tehran responded swiftly, deploying waves of ballistic missiles and attack drones.
The conflict, now in its third day, has prompted international concern, with United States President Donald Trump urging both sides to consider negotiations. Trump said “calls and meetings” were taking place behind the scenes, but Iran has flatly rejected any discussion of a ceasefire while Israeli attacks continue.
