Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, has rejoined the All Progressives Congress (APC) after leaving the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), marking a significant shift in Lagos State’s political landscape.

The former PDP governorship candidate announced his decision at a press conference in Ikeja, stating that APC remains the best platform to deliver good governance to Lagosians and Nigerians.

Jandor, who previously defected from APC to contest under PDP in the 2023 election, stated that his return was based on extensive consultations with his political supporters and associates across the state.

He also acknowledged the challenges within the PDP and suggested that APC offered a more viable structure for achieving his political goals.

His move comes shortly after a widely publicized meeting with President Bola Tinubu in Abuja last week, fueling speculation that his defection was influenced by high-level discussions within the ruling party. While details of their meeting remain undisclosed, the timing suggests strategic political realignment ahead of future elections.
