The Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, Idowu Owohunwa, has ordered a probe into the death of a driver killed during a clash in the Mile 2 area of this morning.
In a statement by the spokesperson for the Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, the Joint task Force operatives that allegedly carried out the attack leading to the death and the hospitalisation of another victim were not from the state command.
According to Hundeyin, the Commissioner of Police visited the scene of the incident and normalcy has returned to the area while an investigation has been launched to ascertain the cause of the attack.
Meanwhile, spokesperson for the lagos state environmental sanitation and special offences enforcement unit, taskforce, raheem gbadeyanka who denied the allegation maintained that the state taskforce was nowhere near the mile 2 area at the time of the incident.
