The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has withdrawn the arrest warrant issued last week against music producer and the CEO of EeZee conceptz, Ezekiel Thankgod, aka EeZee Tee who is also the former manager of gospel singer Mercy Chinwo, over an alleged $345,000 fraud.
This is because the criminal charge has been handed over to his counsel, Monday Ubani, san, on his behalf with the approval of the judge, Justice Alexander Owoeye today.
The manager is been accused of illegally converting and receiving royalties of his former signees Mercy Chinwo and Judikay, without informing them among other charges.
In his defense, EeZee Tee while speaking to newsmen, accused mercy chinwo of violating terms of agreement which includes her failure to deliver a third album, adding that he was compelled by the EFCC to transfer $274, 000 USD to the artiste while in custody.
The federal high court in Lagos adjourned the case to February 14, for further hearing and possible arraignment of the defendant.
