A member of Nigeria’s House of Representatives, Phillip Agbese has filed a lawsuit against Tigran Gambaryan, an executive of Binance Holdings Limited, over alleged defamatory claims.
Agbese denied the allegations, stating he has never engaged in cryptocurrency trading and does not own a crypto wallet. “I could not have asked for funds to be credited to a non-existent wallet,” he said.
The lawmaker has challenged Gambaryan to either present evidence linking him to the bribery claims, issue a public apology within seven days, or face legal consequences.
Recall that Gambaryan had alleged in a post on X that Agbese, along with two other lawmakers, demanded from him a $150 million bribe in cryptocurrency.
