The Nigerian national petroleum company (NNPC) limited has officially launched five liquefied natural gas (LNG) mini-plants in Ajaokuta, Kogi state.

Speaking at the ground breaking ceremony, the group chief executive officer of (NNPC) limited, Mele Kyari expressed his enthusiasm for the project, promised to deliver on the mandate.

Kyari emphasized the company’s commitment to delivering the project, which will utilize domestic gas reserves, reducing reliance on polluting fuels like kerosene.

Also speaking, Kogi state governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, assured that the state will provide all necessary support for the realization of the project.

The five LNG mini-plants are prime LNG, NGML/GASNEXUS LNG, BUA LNG, highland LNG, and LNG arete.
