The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin, has issued a stern warning to Engineer Sarafadeen Abdulrasaq Adekunle Olayiwola, cautioning him to stop parading himself as the Mogaji (family head) of the Otepola Ibidapo family in Moganna Compound, Isale Bode, IbIbadan.I
n a statement released on Friday and signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Chief Solomon Olugbemiga Ayoade, the monarch declared that investigations carried out by the Chieftaincy Screening and Dispute Resolution Committee revealed that the certificate in Olayiwola’s possession was forged.
According to the statement, the committee further established that Olayiwola was never properly installed as Mogaji by any recognized traditional authority, contrary to his claims.
The Olubadan-in-Council, at its meeting held on May 19, 2025, reportedly uncovered what the statement described as “a number of atrocities” allegedly committed by Olayiwola in relation to the chieftaincy claim.
The monarch warned that continued impersonation would attract strict sanctions and possible legal action.
