Mr Olufemi Fasehun, the Younger brother to Dr Frederick Fasehun, Founder of Oodua People’s Congress (OPC) has called on Nigeria Police to investigate the ongoing sales of Palm tree settlement in Ayeko Falm Settlement in AJIODO/Akinjagunla

Community, under Ondo East Local Government Area of Ondo State belonging to the late OPC leader.

Fasehun in a statement on Tuesday requesting the office of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to investigate and prosecute anyone found culpable at a Court of competent Jurisdiction accordingly.

“With sublime respect, we write to request your good office for onward due diligent investigation and harmonization of the above captioned matter by the Ondo State Police Command, for onward possible prosecution of found culpable at a court of competent jurisdiction accordingly.

“It’s a pity for Adewunmi Fasehun, Felix Fasehun and Mrs Clara Ogunsanmi known as “ Iya Eta” hereinafter referred to as the “Principal Suspects “, all working

in connivance with the land grabbers, to sell Palm tree settlement at cheaper price.

“I had earlier filed a petition at the Ondo Commissioner of Police’s office against some land grabbers who illegally entered my land and destroyed economic palm trees worth millions of naira,” he said.

According to him, Adewunmi Fasehun, Felix Fasehun and Mrs. Clara Ogunsanmi also known as “ Iya Eta” allegedly conspired to forcefully dispossessed and encroached on land belonging to me Olufemi Fasehun. The three are accused of illegally entering, selling and destroying economic trees worth millions of naira belonging to Mr. Olufemi Fasehun , Ambassador Orobola Fasehun and Late Dr. Frederick Fasehun, founder of OPC.

He said that the accused were allegedly parading fake papers and claiming the land was family land that belongs to them.

Olufemi Fasehun stated that anyone who has purchased land from these three should immediately demand back monies they might have paid and the public should refrain from dealing with these land grabbers.

He also added that these three were being investigated by the Ondo state police command which needed the attention of the IGP to avoid compromise.

“We are using this medium and opportunity to tell the general public that these three do not own the land they are illegally selling. They are deceitfully lying to unsuspecting buyers that it is a family land,” he said.

He noted that the land grabbers were not members of the family as they destroyed and embezzled economic palm trees on the aforesaid land.

Only a criminal would sell and immediately destroy millions of naira’s worth of assets for peanuts,” he added.

He said he was profusely and passionately appealing to the IGP to guide AIG Zone 17 to ensure investigation is concluded and culprits charged to court accordingly, however the AIG himself being newly posted is a man of dignity and integrity to fish out the bad eggs from the old regime led by DCP SUNNY DANGANA and his cohorts CSP KAYODE OC MONITORING that are compromising and undermining his work.

Fasehun noted that it was a perennial reoccurrence in Ondo State where land grabbers allegedly work hand-in-hand with the law enforcement officers to compromise justice at will.

“We urge the IGP office to immediately order the matter be returned back to the Ondo CP’s office for proper due diligence investigation and onward prosecution at a court of competent jurisdiction.

“We look forward to your accelerated approval for due diligent investigation and harmonization respectively,” he added.
