Some 68 players from Argentina, England, South Africa, and Nigeria are ready to compete in the much-anticipated 2025 Port Harcourt International Polo Tournament, scheduled to run from January 13 to 28.
Organized by the Port Harcourt Polo Club in collaboration with the Nigerian Polo Association (NPA), the event is expected to bring together some of the finest talents in the sport, alongside players from West African clubs.
Themed ‘Unity in Motion,’ the tournament promises an engaging experience for polo enthusiasts.
According to Prince Henry Agbodjan, President of the Port Harcourt Polo Club, the event will not only feature thrilling matches but also include entertainment shows and a vibrant Micro Market, where attendees can shop for items at affordable prices.
“This event is more than just a competition; it’s a celebration of the sport and an opportunity to foster connections across the polo community,” Agbodjan stated.
The Port Harcourt International Polo Tournament has grown to become one of Nigeria’s flagship sporting events, consistently attracting high-profile patrons and fans from within and outside the country.
The tournament reinforces Nigeria’s position as a key player in the global polo scene, offering a platform for local talents to showcase their skills alongside international competitors.
