A Rivers State-based lawyer, Chris Okparaolu, has called on Governor Siminalayi Fubara and other key figures in the state’s ongoing political crisis to set aside personal interests and uphold the rule of law.

Speaking on Inside Scoop, a current affairs program on Adamimogo, Okparaolu warned against the selective application of court rulings, stating that such practices were eroding trust in Nigeria’s judiciary.

He stressed that adherence to legal processes was crucial in resolving the lingering dispute.

Okparaolu also weighed in on the ongoing scandal at the National Assembly, urging that facts, rather than emotions, should guide public discourse.

He asserted that the accuser ( Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan) must come forward with her facts to prove the allegations brought against the president of the senate, Godswill Akpabio.
