The Chief Executive Officer of MTN Nigeria, Karl Toriola, says though the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has announced a 50% tariff increase for telecoms operators in the country, the implementation of the tariff raise has not been approved by the regulator.
Toriola, made this known in a televised interview adding that the proposal has been sent to the regulator for the implementation of the tariff raise.
He, however, noted that the proposal is still under review to ensure it remains fair to consumers and that no individual gains an undue competitive advantage.
