Timileyin Ajayi, the alleged killer of Salome Adaidu, has pleaded not guilty to the murder charge filed against him by the Police.

The case, which has drawn significant public attention, was heard before Justice Simeon Aboki at Court 2 in Lafia, Nasarawa State, on Monday. Ajayi was arraigned on one count of culpable homicide punishable by death, a charge stemming from the tragic death of the young woman.

During the court proceedings, the Nasarawa State Police command, represented by its Officer-in-Charge, Legal, Stanley Nwaforagu, assured the public of their commitment to ensuring justice. Nwaforagu stated that the suspect’s not-guilty plea would not deter the Police from pursuing the case vigorously.

“We remain committed to seeing this case through until justice is served,” he affirmed.

Justice Aboki, after hearing the plea, adjourned the case to March 17th through 20th for the commencement of the trial.
