President Bola Tinubu will inaugurate Section I of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway on Saturday, May 31, as part of a series of infrastructure projects to be unveiled during his working visit to Lagos, the Presidency announced on Monday.

According to a statement by Mr. Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, the coastal highway, one of Tinubu’s flagship projects, will be launched alongside other key developments including the Lekki Deep Sea Port Tax Credit Concrete Road, the 7th Axial Road, and the flag-off of Section II of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway.

President Tinubu will also perform virtual inaugurations of major road projects across northern Nigeria. These include the Kano-Kanwar-Danja-Hadejiya Section II Road, Yakasai-Zalli Road, and the Kano Northern By-pass. Additional road segments to be commissioned include the Zaria-Hunkuyi-Dabai Section I, Dabai-Kafur-Malumfashi, and Malumfashi-Dayi-Yashe-Gidan Mutum Daya Section III.

The President is expected to arrive in Lagos on Tuesday ahead of his participation in the 50th anniversary celebrations of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), where he serves as chairman.
