President Bola Tinubu has arrived at the Chinua Achebe International Airport in Umueri, Anambra State, as part of his official visit to the South-East region.
Touching down at approximately 12:17 p.m. aboard a Nigerian Air Force Airbus, the president was welcomed with full honours. Dressed in the traditional Akwete Igbo fabric paired with a red cap, Tinubu proceeded to the podium where the national anthem was rendered.
On his entourage was the National Security Adviser, Alhaji Nuhu Ribadu, along with other top government officials.
Governor Chukwuma Soludo, his deputy Onyekachukwu Ibezim, members of the Anambra State House of Assembly, and other high-ranking dignitaries were present to receive the president.
Tinubu’s visit is expected to include meetings with stakeholders and possible project inaugurations as part of his administration’s effort to strengthen ties with the South-East.
