US President Donald Trump has issued what appears to be a two-week ultimatum to Russian President Vladimir Putin, as the Kremlin continues its aggression in Ukraine. Speaking from the Oval Office on Wednesday, Trump hinted at a significant shift in his stance toward the Russian leader, whom he accused of playing a dangerous game.

Asked whether he believed Putin wanted to bring the war in Ukraine to an end, Trump responded bluntly:

“I can’t tell you that, but I’ll let you know in about two weeks.”

The remark, laced with ambiguity, suggests Trump may be laying the groundwork for a harsher diplomatic or strategic response if Russia continues its offensive unchecked.

Over the past few days, Trump has taken a noticeably tougher tone on Putin, describing him in social media posts as “absolutely crazy” and accusing the Russian president of “playing with fire” as missile strikes and ground operations in Ukraine intensified.
