A devastating fire has razed a building at Oke Itunu area of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital destroying multi-million naira worth of properties.
Our correspondent Temitope Alao who visited the scene of the inferno reports that the fire which started this afternoon had residents counting their losses.
While investigations are ongoing to unravel the cause of the incident, some eye witnesses who spoke with Adamimogo FM, said the fire started after one of the occupants of the building lit a gas cooker, prompting fire to emerge from the leaking cylinder.
Some residents who spoke lamented the loss of properties worth millions of naira in the inferno.
The fire which recked havoc and has since sent fears to the spines of residents was however put out by personnel of the Federal fire service.
